View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Una May Kelley McKelvey, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at her residence, Hidden Acres Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. McKelvey was born in the Dog Creek Community of Maury County, the daughter of Joseph Fate Kelley and Hautie Ragsdale Kelley. She was first married to Charlie Fred Brooks who died on May 28, 1969 then later married William Young McKelvey who preceded her in death on January 18, 1997. She was a former long-time resident of Santa Fe and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. McKelvey was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons Paul Steven Brooks and Jimmy Taylor Brooks both of Columbia, Michael Ray Brooks of Tamarac, Florida, Ricky Milton Brooks of Lewisburg; daughter, Bonnie Kay Brooks; two sisters, Ruby Ashmore of Summertown, Judy (David) Mealer of Spring Hill; two brothers, Buford (Patsy) Kelley and Cecil (Barbara) Kelley both of Columbia; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Brielle Shyanne Rose Noblit. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
