Vaniel Ray Norman

Vaniel Ray Norman, 68, security guard and supervisor for Guardmark Security and resident of Granada Drive, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Dyersburg General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Matthew Forrest and John Taylor Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends will gather at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to service time Thursday. The family suggests memorials be made to the animal shelter of your choice. Notes of sympathy may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Raymond Houston Norman and Willie Mae "Bill" Hinson Norman. He is survived by his beloved significant other of 25 years, Donald Duncan of Columbia and beloved extended family. Pallbearers are Matthew Forrest, John Taylor Forrest, Neil Brady, Steve Hurt, and Corey Morris.
