Vicki M. Gray, 55, associate of the Wal-Mart Store in Murfreesboro and resident of the Chapel Hill Community, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Bob Adair officiating. Burial will follow at Moses Cemetery in the Thick Community of Marshall County. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be extended at oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William H. "Bill" Gray and Bobbie Jean Davis Gray. She was a 1976 graduate of Columbia Central High School; loved to read and was devoted to her dogs. Survivors include her life partner of 22 years, Carol "Chip" Watkins of Chapel Hill; sister, Marlene (John) Kirk of Columbia; step-children, David Watkins, III of Westmoreland and Nicole McMahon of Douglasville, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Christy (Brian) Bennett, Ashley Kirk, and Adam Gray of Columbia, Brian (Tracey) Pullum of Lewisburg; great-nieces and great-nephews, Trisha Pullum (Jose`) Vasquez of Manchester, Brittany Ring of Columbia; Steven Pullum of McMinnville, Willie Bennett, Waylon Bennett, and Gavin Gray, all of Columbia; great-great-niece and great-great-nephews, Lillie Vasquez of Manchester, Rubyn Ring of Columbia, and Logan Vasquez of Manchester; uncle, Robert L. Hobbs of Columbia; five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Gray Thomas; and maternal grandmother, Ruby Loftin. Active pallbearers are Brian Pullum, Brian Bennett, David Watkins, III, John Kirk, Lance Roberts, and Corey Coppes. Wal-Mart Associates in Murfreesboro will serve as honorary pallbearers.
