View Video Tribute View Funeral WebcastVictoria Leigh "Vikki" Waggoner Bagby, 51, mental health therapist and former resident of Columbia, lost a courageous and hard-fought one and one-half year battle with cancer on Friday, November 16, 2012 at her residence in Clarksville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols. with Rev. Jessie Tharpe officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of condolence may be offered at oakesandnichols.com. Born in Davidson County and reared in Maury County, she attended Columbia Military Academy and was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon. She attended Columbia State Community College and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master's Degree from Austin-Peay University in Clarksville. Vikki was a twenty-two year employee of Centerstone as a Mental Health Counselor, a position she dearly loved. She was a member of Dunbar Cave Baptist Church. Everyone she met loved her. She had a beautiful smile and a loving, caring way with everyone, especially her family by whom she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her loving husband, Steve Bagby; her "sunshine" daughter, Elizabeth Grace "Lizzie" Bagby of Clarksville; mother, Judy McCandless Waggoner Ervin of Columbia; father and step-mother, Gerald and Elaine McBroom Waggoner of Columbia; brothers, Col. John (Lisa) Waggoner, USAF of Beavercreek, Ohio and Gerald Waggoner, Jr. of Memphis; a nephew, Jack Waggoner of Beavercreek, Ohio; uncle, T. D. Waggoner of White Bluff; aunt, Bessie Waggoner Corlew of White Bluff. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, A. G. and Cornelia McCandless of Nashville; paternal grandparents, J. W. and Aimee Waggoner of White Bluff; step-father, C. K. Ervin of Columbia; parents-in-law, Elbert and Ann Bagby of Franklin; aunt, Josephine Waggoner; uncle, Jarrell Corlew, both of White Bluff. Pallbearers are Gerald Waggoner, Jr., Gerald Wakefield, Grant Wakefield, Elbert Lee Bagby, II, Elbert Lee Bagby, III, Matthew Hardy, and Ben Middleton.
