Virginia Charlotte Caglis Jakubowski

Virginia Charlotte Caglis Jakubowski, 88, resident of Hilltop Drive, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Father Clare Hendricks officiating. Inurnment will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Catherine Catholic Church Building Fund, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Adolph Caglis and Helen Joseph Caglis. She was a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She was married October 17, 1945 to Carl Michael Jakubowski who preceded her in death June 28, 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Christine Ann (Dan) Mayer of Simi Valley, California; sons, Michael David (Joyce) Jakubowski of Nashua, New Hampshire and Joseph Carl (Kathy) Jakubowski of Columbia; sister, Gloria Makenas of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Kacie Jakubowski, Krista Jakubowski, Jeffrey Jakubowski, and Cindy Mayer; step-son, Trevor Findley.
