Walter Lee Hann

December 5, 1927 — May 16, 2013

Mr. Walter Lee Hann, 85, retired employee of Union Carbide and longtime resident of Bluegrass Drive, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Glenview Health Care in Glasgow, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with David Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the son of the late Ellis Hann and Mary Jane McGill Hann. He was a member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include daughters, Patsy (Buddy) Kennedy of Culleoka; Yvonne "Bunny" Hann Cook (Kay Bush) of Glasgow, Kentucky; Anita Hann of Antioch; Laurie Hann of Gilbert, Arizona; son, Terry (Marsha) Hann of Columbia; grandchildren, Vickie (Mitch) Kammeier of Land o'Lakes, Florida; Kim (Donnie) Fitzgerald of Culleoka; Miranda (Brian) Wood of Columbia; Angie (Dave) Juda of Overland Park, Kansas; Kim Wing of Lewisburg; Deanna (Terry) Redding of Columbia; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Lewis (Ella Jane) Hann of Columbia; and sister, Mary Ellis Brooks of Culleoka. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Glenview Health Care, Dr. Amelia Kiser, Dr. Reams Powers and staff. Active pallbearers will be James Morrow, Milton Morrow, Gerald Hann, Jimmy Brooks, Lewis Hann, Jr., Larry Hann, Larry Turner, and Charlie Huffman. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Jones, Billy Mainer, Digger Whitley, Howard Moore, Pete Parks, and Bill Pulley.
