View Video TributeMarvin Wendell Kelley, 63, retired employee of Occidental Chemical Corporation and resident of Bandywood Court, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Marvin C. Kelley and Doris P. Jones Kelley. He enjoyed people and the joy came from his days sitting on his porch visiting with anyone who passed his way. He was an avid fan of TV game shows. Mr. Kelley loved all animals, but especially his Chihuahua, Brownie, with whom he shared many adventures. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Kelley and son, Marvin Wendell Kelley, Jr., and their mother, Patricia Kelley, all of Columbia; son, Stephen Wayne (Becca) Kelley and his mother Sherry Ann Rochester, both of Columbia; grandsons, Dayton Kelley and Kayden Kelley; brother, Ronnie Kelley; sisters, Martha (Wayne) Tucker, Brenda (Freddie) Hollaway, and Judy Shrader; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Kelley; sister, May Cromwell; and special brother-in-law, Danny Shrader. Active pallbearers will be Russ Richardson, Derrick Buchanan, Ronnie Orr, Philip Tucker, Dustin Gibson, and Darin Gibson.
