William “Bill” G. Doelle, 66, beloved, husband, father and grandfather died Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with honors provided by the Maury County Sherriff’s Department. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Bill was born on December 31, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jack Doelle and the late Gloria DiGregorio Doelle. He graduated from St. Clair Shores High School in 1977 and afterwards started his lifetime career in law enforcement. He currently served as the Director of the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force with the Maury County Sherriff’s Department and has been involved with the Tennessee Narcotic Officer Association (TNOA) since its inception and has served on the Board of Directors for over 20 years and currently serving as the President. He had many interests outside his career including boating, grilling, wood working, but most of all providing and caring for his family.

Survivors include his wife Shannon Landry Doelle; five children, Tonya (Michael) Franklin, Lindsey (Wil) Sands, Dustin (Garak) Harrington, Cory (Leandra) Harrington, and Delaney (Corey) Duncan; eight grandchildren, Allie Grace Sands, Noah Gibson, Jake Sands, Conner Duncan, Kamdyn Duncan, Brinley Harrington, Reagan Harrington, and Landry Duncan; sister Sue Back; two brothers, Mark (Deb) Doelle and John Doelle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Noah Gibson, Jake Sands, Wil Sands, Cory Harrington, Corey Duncan, and Conner Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force, Tennessee Narcotic Officer Association and the Maury County Sheriff’s Department.
