View Video TributeMr. William "Billy" Clyde Foster, Jr., 82, retired from the U.S. Post Office and longtime resident of Culleoka, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Corey Bell officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday after 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery at a later date. The Maury County native was the son of the late William Clyde Foster, Sr. and Dove Thurman Foster. On July 4, 1956 he married Betty Oliver Foster of Culleoka who survives.Mr. Foster served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Along with his job as a rural mail carrier for over thirty five years with the Post Office he was also a lifetime farmer. Mr. Foster was a member of Culleoka Church of Christ. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Mike (Patti) Foster of Culleoka, Lettie Anne Foster of Nashville, Vicki Lynn Sharp of Culleoka, Matt (Tracy) Foster of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Michael (Kelsey) Foster of Memphis, Will (Britton) Foster, Robert (Whitney) Foster both of Columbia, Ashley Nicole (Nick) Landry of Spring Hill, Ben Foster, Nathaniel Foster both of Lewisburg; and a great-granddaughter, Mimsie Foster of Memphis. Honorary pallbearers include the men and women of Culleoka Morning Coffee Drinkers and members of Culleoka Church of Christ.
