William Manson "W Morrow

View Funeral Webcast William Manson "W.M." Morrow, 67, life-long farmer, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at his residence on Love Branch Road in the Hampshire Community surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Southpoint Church of Christ with Randy Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Morrow Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be extended at oakesandnichols.com. Born in Maury County, he was the son of the late Grady Alvin Morrow, Sr. and Mary Polkie Farris Morrow. He was a dedicated farmer all his life. Mr. Morrow loved his land and took great pride in the family farm. A life-time of working night and day, he raised tobacco, grain, and hay, as well as pigs and cattle. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, sharing this with his grandson, Wil. Mr. Morrow was a faithful member of Southpoint Church of Christ for 54 years. He valued honesty, fairness, and treating others as you would want to be treated. He married the former Betty June Mullins, and often said: "She was the person he loved more than anything." Their 48-year union produced two daughters, Penny Ann (Dwayne) Wright of Mt. Juliet and Ginger Lee (Steve Cole) Morrow of Hampshire; grandchildren, William Hunter "Wil" Morrow, Sarah Grace "Gracie" Cole, Emma Lee Cole, and Cooper Morrow Wright; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Morrow of Hampshire; brother-in-law, Tommy (Diana) Mullins of Bon Aqua; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Alvin Morrow, Jr. on January 30, 2015. Active pallbearers are Leonard Embler, Timmy McKennon, Alvin Morrow, III, Tommy Mullins, Dwayne Wright, David Kincade, David Golden, Thomas Runions, Steve Cole, and Wil Morrow. Honorary pallbearers include Willis Blocker, Willard Blocker, Clyde Farris, and T. Mayes. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Doug Vineyard, Carole Parsons, the Hampshire Fire Department, paramedics Mark Smith and Justin Maggard with Maury County Ambulance Service and especially, nurse Ashley.
