View Funeral Service WebcastMr. William Clay "Bill" Perley, 45, employee of Columbia Power & Water System, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at his residence on Sixth Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Greg Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3 - 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Lowell, Massachusetts he was the son of the late JoAnn Perley North and had been a resident of Maury County since he was 14 years old. He was a 1984 graduate of Central High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. Survivors include his daughter, Joanne Perley of Columbia and his former wife, Sandra Watson Perley of Columbia. Active pallbearers will be Carlton "Rocky" Baker, Tony Oliver, Shane Luna, Tony Clark, David Walker, Skipper Demastus, Patrick Demastus, and Kenneth Demastus. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Columbia Power & Water System and past and present employees of Columbia Wastewater.
