William Boyd Rich Sr.

William Boyd Rich Sr., 75, resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Boyd was born April 8, 1951, in Jamestown, TN, and was the son of the late Estel Rich and the late Edna Creselious Rich. He worked at the sawmill in Culleoka and was a member of the Baptist faith. Boyd enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and listening to music. He was known for being a jokester and especially loved his dog, Buddy. He married Andrea Loretta York, who preceded him in death on July 13, 2017.

Boyd is survived by his son, Andrew Rich Sr. (Sandra Mosley); granddaughter, Haley Rich; grandson, Andrew Rich Jr.; sister, Patsy Rich; brother, Johnny (Beverly) Rich; and sisters-in-law, Helen Kelley and Paula Shrake.

In addition to his parents and wife, Andrea York Rich, he was preceded in death by his son, William Boyd Rich Jr.; and grandson, Dustin Rich.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
