William Boyd Ring Sr

MR. BOYD RING, SR. Mr. William Boyd Ring, Sr., 76, retired forty-nine year employee of the Maintenance Department of the Maury County Board of Education and resident of the New Lewisburg Highway, died Saturday, February 15, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. Since his retirement, Mr. Ring was self-employed in lawmower maintenance and repair. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Elmer Lusk and Brother H. P. Crabtree officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of the Caney Springs Community in Marshall County, he was the son of the late Willie Louis Ring and Willie Belle Derryberry Ring and a member of the Philadelphia Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Delores Brown Ring of Columbia; a daughter, Kathy (James) Ferguerson of Pulaski; four sons, Butch (Barbara) Ring of Culleoka, David Ring of Smyrna, Murray (Lisa) Ring of Columbia, Michael (Christy) Ring of Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren, Carrie Ring, Steven Ring, Tracy Burch, Krystal Retzlaff, Christopher Ferguson, Jamie Ring, Riley Ring, Brittney Ring, Zachary Ring; three great-grandchildren, Jennifer Burch, Amanda Burch, Andy King; two sisters, Marjorie (Harry) Sedge of Shelbyville; Shelby (Alvin) Lunn of Columbia; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Alvin Lunn, Dara Norwood, Wayne Mosley. Active pallbearers are Shane Andrews, Darryl Andrews, Tommy Lentz, Jimmy Hardison, Billy Joe Hardison, Phillip Lunn, James Spires, Tim Isabell. Honorary pallbearers include past and present employees of the Maury County Board of Education, friends and neighbors of the Park Station Community, 3rd floor oncology nurses at Maury Regional Hospital, Drs. Wothman, Jameson, Woodley, Messenger and Kelley.
