View Video Tribute Mr. William Thomas Stevens, 85, retired from Union Carbide Corporation, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services will be Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Carl May and David Edwards officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Mr. Stevens was a long-time member of Berea Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Edith Morris Stevens of Columbia; sons, Morris (Dianne) Stevens of Cunningham and T. Randy (Leesa) of Columbia; grandchildren, Jeb Stevens, Rebecca Fua, Marcie Autrey, Branson Stevens, and Taylor Stevens; great-grandchildren, Hayden Stevens, Ella Grace Fua, and Kaplan Autrey. Active pallbearers are Jeb Stevens, Branson Stevens, Taylor Stevens, Diego Fua, Jamie Autrey, Jimmy Damron, Jimmy Fry, Dave Fry, Barry Watson, and John Tomlinson. Honorary pallbearers include Reggie and Carla Potter, John Williams, and Clinton and Jean Damron. The family expresses appreciation to Dr. William Fuqua, Dr. Rand Hayes, and Dr. Amit Choksi for their care and concern during his illness.
