View Funeral WebcastWilliam Edward Tiller, 71, tow motor operator for Union Carbide Corporation and resident of North Lasea Road in the Spring Hill Community, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was a member of Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Jeffery (Kim) Tiller of Columbia; daughters, Angie (Kevin) Harmon and Susan Bassham of Columbia; grandchildren, Brandon Sharp, Gabe Bassham, Ashley Tiller, and Brittany Tiller; brother, Bruce D. Tiller, Sr. of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Tiller and Rex Tiller. Active pallbearers are Kevin Harmon, Bruce Tiller, Jr., Ricky Jones, Larry Jones, Darryl Massey, and Brett Bohannon. Honorary pallbearers include Bruce Tiller, Sr., Mike Jones, and staff and physicians of Vanderbilt Surgical ICU.
