View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast William Franklin "Frank" Wells, 67, Vocational Director for the Maury County Board of Education and well-known Church of Christ minister and resident of Williamsport Pike, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at West 7th Street Church of Christ with Fletcher Srygley officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Marshall County native was the son of the late Thurman Hoyt Wells and Mildred Elaine Wells. He was a graduate of Marshall County High School and earned a B.S. Degree and Master's Degree in Education from Middle Tennessee State University. His 37-year career in education included teaching drafting classes at Central High School and serving as Director of Vocational Education for the Maury County Board of Education. For a number of years, he served as minister for the Stiversville Church of Christ and Berea Church of Christ and was serving the congregation at Cedar Hill Church of Christ at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jane Srygley Wells; daughter, Malaina (Jan) Watson of Franklin; sons, Troy (Cristie) Wells of Winchester and Nicky (Allison) Wells of Franklin; grandchildren, Jolon Watson, Kellan Watson, Esme Watson of Franklin, Taylor Wells and Sadie Wells of Winchester, Allie Wells and Nathaniel Wells of Franklin; sister, Rita (Doy) Hollman of Nashville; brothers-in-law, Fletcher (Gail) Srygley of Nashville and Bill Srygley of Memphis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Wells. Pallbearers include Frank McMeen, Doug Garner, Gene Dickey, Sammy Brooks, Jim Vinson, Charles Sanders, Carter Hill, Larry Ezell, and Don Thornberry.
