"Bill" Wilson, 85, retired employee of Caterpillar Incorporated and resident of West Main Street in Lynnville, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Countryside Health & Rehabilitation in Lawrenceburg. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Gary Bailey and Danny Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late William Ervin Wilson and Billie Marie Hatcher Wilson. He served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and had also attended Mooresville Pike Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Betty Jo Jones Wilson of Lynnville; four sisters-in-law, Pauline Jones Tice of Culleoka; Sallie Jones Holder of Lewisburg; Thelma Turner Jones of Lynnville; Katherine Holder Jones of Columbia; one brother-in-law, Clifford Odell Jones of Manchester; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Active pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill & Elaine Wells, Duke Hamilton, Tommy Blalock, Imogene Ledford, Frances Hewitt, Larry Sands, Troy Hood, Chief Duane T. Jones, and friends and neighbors in Mooresville and Lynnville.
