Willie Leon "W.L." Boshers

Willie Leon “W.L.” Boshers, 82, a resident of Columbia, TN, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Lawrence Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Born July 12, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, TN, W.L. was the son of the late Elmer Boshers and the late Vera Estes Boshers. On April 3, 1964, he married the love of his life, Juanita Young. W.L. worked as an equipment operator for Rogers Group for many years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Above all, Willie treasured his family and especially enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Juanita Boshers; daughter, Michelle (Ken) Banks of Columbia; grandchildren, Kendall (Cameron) Wilhoite of Spring Hill, Linzy (Antres) Booker of Columbia, Joe Boshers of Columbia, and Hannah Burns of Huntsville, AL; great-grandchildren, Emersyn Wilhoite, Colson Wilhoite, and Makenna Booker; special grandson, Derrick (Haley) Carroll of Williamsport; sisters, Ellen Craig, Thelma Howell, Ruby Shirley, Sharon Sanders, Lesha Young, and Robin Barnhill; sister-in-law, Margie Boshers; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Odell Boshers; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lisa Boshers; brothers, Jimmy Boshers, Mark Boshers, and Huey Ernest Boshers; and sister, Sandra Cothron.

Pallbearers will be Joe Boshers, Derrick Carroll, Cameron Wilhoite, Antres Booker, Guy Odom, and Ricky Hodge. Honorary pallbearers will include the Church of God of Prophecy Adult Sunday School Class.
