Wilma Jean Cooley Stewart, 85, retired Dietary Aid for Life Care and Heritage Nursing Facilities, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her residence in Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jeff Kane officiating. Born December 3, 1937 in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late Madison Washington Cooley and the late Lila Haskins Cooley. On August 27, 1955, she married Houston Blackburn “H.B.” Stewart who preceded her in death December 22, 2017. Survivors include her daughters, Tina Marie Stewart of Columbia; Lorrie Ann (Ricky) Collins of Columbia; sons, Houston Glen (Debbie) Stewart of Culleoka; Terry Lee (Candy) Stewart of Columbia; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Barry Wayne Stewart; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Stewart; sisters, Martha Staggs, Helen Gardner; and brothers, Arch Cooley and Bud Cooley.
